The Type EXL linear luminaire with fluorescent lamp or LED tube is an explosion protected item of operating equipment with lamp sockets for fluorescent lamps Type T5 (Ø16) with G5 base or LED strips up to a max. 9.6W. It is ideally suited as an emergency light for safety lighting or as an illuminated sign at operating and storage facilities in potentially explosive areas, and may be deployed in Zones 1, 2 as well as 21 and 22.
The luminaire, designed with type of protection “Ex d”, is available with various operating modes. In addition to the mains dependent operation (NETWORK ONLY), the luminaire may also be fitted with emergency light electronics. This enables permanent operation (ALWAYS ON) as well as functional operation only for up to three hours in the event of a power failure (EMERGENCY ONLY). An “Ex d” cable gland ¾” NPT is available for the electrical connection. The Type EXL luminaire is suitable for wall or ceiling mounting.
