Description

The Type EWN pendant light fitting is suitable for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres in Zones 2 and 22 and in rough ambient conditions with high mechanical load, humidity or dust. The tough enclosure, an impact-resistant protective glass up to IP66 and a large operating temperature range permit use in applications such as oil refineries, chemicals and petrochemicals installations, shipbuilding or other industrial sectors. Typical applications for hazardous dust areas are found wherever flammable dust arises, for example in the cereals or flour industry, mills, sugar production or wood processing industry.
The light is designed with type of protection “Ex nR” and is available in three standard sizes. High pressure discharge lamps or mercury vapour lamps with a maximum output of 400W may be used as illuminant. For the electrical connection, two M20x1.5 cable glands are provided to house the cable glands or blanking plugs, approved for the explosion protected area. The EWN light fitting may be installed using wall / ceiling / pendant as well as pole mounting.
