Description

The Type AVC linear luminaire with fluorescent lamp is an explosion protected item of operating equipment with lamp sockets for fluorescent lamps Type T8 (Ø26) with G13 base. It is used to illuminate operating and storage facilities in potentially explosive areas, and may be deployed in Zones 1, 2 as well as 21 and 22.
The luminaire with type of protection “Ex d e q” is available in a 1-lamp or 2-lamp version.
For the electrical connection, four threaded holes are provided to house the cable glands or blanking plugs, approved for the explosion protected area (“Ex e” – M25x1.5), whereby three of these holes are sealed with blanking plugs in the factory.
As standard, the luminaire is designed for internal through-wiring. The electrical connection of entry and exit lines is possible on opposite sides.
By means of the central locking system, with a positive break switch integrated in the luminaire, an all-pole disconnection to the upstream device is ensured when the luminaire is opened. It is only possible to put the luminaire back into operation by closing the cover and the central locking.
Diverse mounting accessories make it possible to install the luminaire with wall or ceiling mounting, pole mounting or pendant mounting.
In addition to general lighting, the Type AVC luminaire can be used as safety lighting, with 1-lamp emergency lighting for up to 2 hours.
